Filtration & Purification
MS Introduction-Beyond Pure
Membrane Solutions, LLC is a provider of micro porous membrane products, technologies and services. We meet filtering needs of customers in a number of different industries, laboratory testing, food and beverage, electronics and water treatment.
Membrane Solutions, LLC is striving for excellence in its field through our innovative and competence products, such as syringe filter, membrane filter. And MS filters are applied in many different fields.
Filtration and Purification-Analytical Sample Preparation
Critical decisions are often based on the results of your analytical testing. Confidence in those results comes from using products that are proven to perform as expected, even with samples as small as 25 ul.
MS analytical chemistry filters are proven to provide the best HPLC protection and performance. Only the MS syringe filters are independently certified for use in automation equipment to assure the best performance.
- Difficult-to-filter Solutions, Prefiltration
For difficult-to-filter samples, it is best to use a product with a glass fiber prefilter over the membrane. MS syringe filter with GF multi-layered glass fiber prefilter is the best option for extremely particulate-laden samples. Our traditional syringe filters with Nylon membranes are also available with a single layer glass fiber prefilter.
For consistent, enhanced sample preparation and prefiltration in biomolecule applications, Choose MS syringe filter with PES, CA membranes. These devices are excellent for sample preparation prior to HPLC purification, separation, and characterization studies of biomolecules such as synthetic peptides, nucleic acids, and recombinant and native proteins.
- High Throughput Filtration, Multiple Sample Processing
As samples get smaller and more numerous, the need for novel methods for high throughput sample preparation has led MS to develop new filtration devices that simplify and expedite the sample preparation process.
Membrane Filter Guides

MS Experience in Filtration & Purification
Membrane Solutions has extensive Filtration & Purification experience in filtration and separation technology, which allows us to design, develop and manufacture filtration solutions to suit every application. Our filter media is compatible with all commonly used solvents and chemicals, and is designed to provide consistent batch to batch ink quality, long run periods between purge cycles and minimum hold-up volume to reduce wastage and product loss during change out.
Since our business became involved in Filtration & Purification, we have been making efforts to become more professional and authoritative in this field. During the rapid development phase, Membrane Solutions has established wide and long-term cooperation relationships with a great deal of labs. These customers present enough confidence in us and our products, meanwhile, we membrane solutions, with responsible attitude, also manufacture high-quality products as well as appropriate solutions for our customers.

MS® Nylon Syringe Filters
MS® Nylon syringe filters are designed for sterilization and clarification of aqueous and solvent samples in a wide array of analytical and research applications. They are primarily used to filter small aqueous and organic samples with low hold-up volume in order to inject them directly into the HPLC sample loop systems.
|
MS® PTFE Syringe Filters
MS® PTFE syringe filter is available with or without a glass fiber prefilter. PTFE membranes are hydrophobic and are designed to filter most aggressive solvents whether they are acid or base samples. Our 50 mm PTFE syringe is excellent for venting applications or protecting a vacuum pump from liquid contamination.
|
MS® PVDF Syringe Filters
MS® PVDF syringe filters are both low protein binding and possess high flow rates. When sterilize and clarify biological solution filtrations, performing HPLC applications and working with aqueous samples, turn to our PVDF syringe filters. PVDF small filter devices are hydrophilic and also have great chemical compatibility(strong bases should be avoided) .

MS® PES Syringe Filters
MS® PES is hydrophilic and constructed from pure polyethersulfone polymer membrane for maximum sample recovery. Low protein and drug binding characteristics make it ideally suited for use in life sciences applications. These syringe filters are available as sterile or non-sterile, with or without glass fiber prefilter.
|
MS® CA Syringe Filters
MS®cellulose acetate syringe filters are hydrophilic membrane disc filters that are ideal for maximum sample recovery. These cellulose acetate membrane filters and cellulose acetate syringes are available as sterile or non-sterile and with or without a glass fiber pre-filter.
|
MS® Nylon Membrane Filters
MS® Nylon membrane disc filter is made of a supported, naturally hydrophilic membrane for versatile use and consistent performance. This particular category of laboratory filtration equipment is specifically designed to wet out evenly and retain its superior strength during use ingeneral filtration or medical assays.

MS® PTFE Membrane Filters
MS® PTFE membrane filters are naturally hydrophobic, they are very useful for aerosol sampling, air venting, and gas filtration, especially in environments also containing water vapor. For filtering aqueous solutions, PTFE requires pre-wetting with alcohol to establish flow with reasonable pressure differentials.
|
MS® PES Membrane Filters
MS® Polyethersulfone (PES) membranes are hydrophilic filters constructed from pure polyethersulfone and available in pore sizes raing from 0.03 micron to 5.0 micron. PES membrane filters are designed to remove particulates during general filtration. Their low protein and drug binding characteristics also make PES membrane disc filters ideally suited for use in life science applications.
|
MS® PVDF Membrane Filters
MS® polyvinylidenedifluoride (PVDF) PVDF membrane disc filters provide high flow rates and throughput. PVDF syringe&membrane filters also providelow extractablesand broad chemical compatibility. Furthermore, these hydrophilic PVDF membrane filters bind far less protein than nylon, nitrocellulose or PTFE membranes found in similar syringe filters and membrane disc filters.
