Low Price 0.22 μm Nylon Syringe Filters For Sample Filtration
Nylon syringe filters are widely used in biological analytical procedures in the laboratory. The hydrophilic nylon membrane is suitable for both aqueous and organic solvents filtration. With high flux, low extractable levels and mechanical stability, nylon syringe filters are ideal for analytical procedures. Membrane Solutions nylon syringe filters can meet most analytical requirements of various test conditions. When choosing a nylon syringe filter, make sure you choose the most appropriate diameter and pore size nylon syringe filter.
1.How to choose diameter? 13mm, 25mm or 33mm?
The diameter of the syringe filter is mainly 13mm, 25mm and 33mm. Choose available diameter of nylon syringe filter for your experimental process according to the volume of the sample needed to filter.
Generally speaking, if the sample volume is less than 10ml, you can choose a nylon syringe filter with diameter of 13mm, if it is less than 100ml, you can choose the 25mm one, and if the sample volume is below 250ml, you can choose a 33mm filter. The following are the differences between these three different diameter syringe filters, this table will make you know better about different diameter nylon syringe filter.

2. Which Pore Sizes to Select? 0.22um or 0.45um?
The most commonly used syringe filter pore sizes are 0.2/0.22 um and 0.45 um syringe filters, for biological analytical application. Then how to choose the pore size? Which is better? The pore size to be used is determined by the particle size to be filtered. For example, for filtering out particulate >0.2 microns in diameter, choose a syringe filter with a 0.2 micron pore size.
Another way to determine the micron size of columns, 0.22 μm can remove extremely fine particles in samples and mobile phases, and it is suitable for chromatography systems with fillers smaller than 3μm. 0.45μm pore size is available for conventional samples and mobile phases, which can meet general requirements.
It is suitable for 3μm or larger fillers chromatographic column system. 0.45 μm is typically used for general filtration and particle removal while 0.2/0.22 μm is ideal for solution sterilization (bacteria removal).
