Wine filters

Wine is an alcoholic beverage fermented from fresh grapes or grape juice, usually divided into red wine and white wine. The former is made by dipping and fermenting red grapes with their skins; the latter is made by fermentation of grape juice.
The wine-making process can be divided into two parts. The first part is fermentation, that is, the process of turning grape juice into wine. The second part is aging into wine, the process, in which newly fermented wine changes from immature to mature and refined. The brewing process of wine is relatively complicated. After the end of alcohol fermentation, the skin residue in the liquor has no use for the wine. If it is not filtered out, on the contrary it will increase the sediment in the wine and affect the taste. In addition, the skin residue may contain other microorganisms, and long-term soaking may also affect the stability of the wine, which is not conductive to long-term storage. After fermentation, the dead yeast precipitates at the bottom of the wine, forming yeast mud. After clarification, is still needs to be filtered to achieve clarity and transparency. The main filtration sites of wine are:
1. Clarification filtration: remove particulate impurities in water and shed upstream
2. Pre-filtration: remove large particles and other impurities, protect the life of downstream sterilization filtration
3. Terminal filtration: remove yeast, spores, particulate matter and microorganisms, etc.
4. Respirator: for compress air, N2, CO2 and other gases, remove moisture and particles in the gas to meet the requirements of sterile-grade; the respirator balances the pressure inside and outside the tank, protects the tank and the water in the tank
